Safe Speed Driver Project – Key facts week 4

Driving at Safe Speeds gives you a chance to win…….We are rewarding Safe Speed Drivers

Speed is a cause of 8 out of 10 crashes in our district. Half the injury crashes in the last 5 years had speed as a factor and the average open road speed is 117km/hr. This is way too fast to survive if you hit something. Whangarei District and Police are working together to reduce speed in our district.
