Safety Engagement winter 2014 (2) (3)

Welcome to our first Safety Engagement newsletter for 2014. We would firstly like to thank you for your interest and we hope you will find the resources and activities helpful within your workplace over the coming months. We appreciate any feedback or suggestions you may have.

With the change in season comes the challenge of winter driving so, in this newsletter we focus on getting road ready. Keeping staff safe when driving, and managing your fleet is an issue for many employers. Improving road safety also makes good business sense. Well managed fleets can contribute to safer roads, reduce company costs and improve productivity. Many of us travel long distances for both our work and leisure so knowing as much as you can about your vehicle and driving to the conditions can help prevent injuries from occurring.

Winter is also the season for colds and flu’s and in the health message we look at how we can stay healthy and avoid being off work.

Please note that this is the July/August edition (so the calendar dates included have passed) but it has been forwarded  to you in its entirety so you don’t miss out on the important messages included in it and you can see the format that will be used for future newsletters. The next Safety Engagement newsletter is currently with Marketing and should hopefully be ready for distribution next week.

If you need any further information on the topics or need resources, you can always talk to your local Relationship Manager, Injury Prevention and Management Consultant or Community Injury Prevention Consultant or just reply to this email address and we’ll be happy to support you.

Kind regards
